Is Foundation Course is Mandatory to Crack KVPY, IIT-JEE and NEET?

There is no mandatory as such to attend a foundation course for NEET UG. Your basic eligibility criteria will be to qualify in 10th and +2 examinations with Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology and English as core subjects or any equivalent. For Unreserved category, the qualifying marks are 50%, for OBC/SC/ST it is 40 % and for PWD it is 45 %. for the PCB subjects.

Foundation courses, as the name suggests will give you a good base to further improve your knowledge. It’s meant as a starting point, that all candidates must know before learning more. Many Coaching Institute conduct foundation courses so that all their candidates are on the same page before they begin their actual course coaching, and sometime, students might forget the basics so the foundation course can help bridge this gap. In short, NOT it is not a necessary condition, but it is highly recommended so that you cover the basics and are ready to start the more advanced topics. Your foundation will be these Physics, Chemistry, and Biology subjects. It is not an urging need to attend the coaching classes but you can go for those to get more practice with the subjects.

ফাউন্ডেশন কোর্সগুলি প্রকৃতপক্ষে ছাত্রছাত্রীদের জ্ঞানের ও জানার পরিধি অনেকটা বাড়িয়ে দেয় এবং একটি ভাল বিষয়গুলিতে একটি ভালো ভিত্তি তৈরী করে। এটি একটি Starting Point হিসাবে ভাবা যেতে পারে, ছাত্রছাত্রীদের আরও শেখার আগে অবশ্যই জানা উচিত। বিভিন্ন Coaching Institute গুলি ফাউন্ডেশন কোর্স পরিচালনাও করে যাতে তাদের সমস্ত প্রার্থী তাদের প্রকৃত কোর্স কোচিং শুরু করার আগে একই পৃষ্ঠায় পেয়ে যায় এবং কিছু সময়, শিক্ষার্থীরা Basic Theory গুলি ভুলে যেতে পারে তাই ফাউন্ডেশন কোর্সটি এই Gap কাটাতে সহায়তাও করতে করে। এককথায় বলা যায়, NEET, AIIMS জাতীয় সর্বভারতীয় ডাক্তারী পরীক্ষায় উর্ত্তীন হতে গেলে Foundation Course এ ভর্তি হতেই হবে, এটা কোনও প্রয়োজনীয় শর্ত নয়, তবে এটির পক্ষে সুপারিশ (Recommend) করা হয় যাতে ছাত্র তার Basic Concept গুলোর তত্ত্ব ও প্রয়োগ বিশদে জানতে পারে এবং আরও Advance বিষয়েগুলিতে প্রস্তুতির গোড়ার ধারণাটা জন্মে। ডাক্তারী পরীক্ষগুলোর জন্যে শিক্ষার্থীর ভিত্তি পদার্থবিজ্ঞান, রসায়ন এবং জীববিজ্ঞান বিষয় নিয়েই। Hardness এর বিচারে প্রথমেই আসবে পদার্থবিদ্যা তারপর রসায়ন এবং শেষে পদার্থবিদ্যা। সেক্ষেত্রে পদার্থবিদ্যা ও রসায়ন বিদ্যার স্কুল পাঠ্যবইতে থাকা Syllabus এর সমস্ত অধ্যায় ভালোমতো ও নিঁখুতভাবে পড়ার চেয়ে শেখাটা জরুরী। সেক্ষেত্রে স্কুল পরীক্ষাগুলির সঙ্গে সমান্তরালভাবে একটা আলাদা সময় বের করে নিয়ে একটু Advance level এ পড়াশোনা করলে একদিকে যেমন বিষয়বস্তু ভালোভাবে শেখা যায় তেমনি স্কুল পরীক্ষাগুলোতেই একটা ভালো Result নিয়ে আসতে ত্বরান্বিত করেই। এর জন্যে আলাদাভাবে কোচিং ক্লাসে অংশ নেওয়ারও প্রয়োজন নেই। তবে সাবজেক্টের সাথেই আরও ভালোভাবে অনুশীলনের জন্য আরোও কিছু পাঠ্যপুস্তক হাতে থাকলেই তা ছাত্রছাত্রীরা বাড়ীতেই এই প্রস্তুতি চালিয়ে যেতে পারবে।
